When your little one is born you want to enjoy
together and recover a bit, and as soon as you're back on your feet, start
wearing it.
We are often asked what the most ideal baby carrier is for a newborn baby. Of course it is a personal choice, what you feel most comfortable wearing. We find the wrap and the MyKay to be the most ideal from day one. Tying a sling is not as difficult as it seems and after a few times of practice even very easy. It's like riding a bike! The stretchy sling is even easier to tie than the woven sling, you can tie it completely before you put your baby in it.
If you
don't like tying such a long cloth, the MyKay is a godsend. You attach this
preformed half buckle baby carrier with a clip on the back, after which you tie
it off. Because you tie horizontally under your arms, your baby never gets too
low in the baby carrier and there is perfect neck support.
The disadvantage of a (stretchable) sling and a MyKay is that you cannot use it until toddler age. If you want to carry on for longer, a baby carrier or Meitai (or woven wrap) is the most ideal. Is your budget not that big or would you still like to wear one baby carrier from day 1 to 3 years old? Our baby carriers can be reduced with a small adjustment, so that you can also wear them from day one. Not every baby will be as perfect in this as in a sling or MyKay, but in general, with a good adjustment, the baby can be carried in our baby carriers from day 1.
Do you doubt whether your baby is sitting properly? Then don't hesitate to make a video and have it assessed by our wearing consultants! You can of course also contact a babywearing consultant in your area.
Enjoy carrying your baby!
