Are our baby carriers suitable for a newborn baby?
Our
stretchy and woven wraps and the MyKay are the most ideal for newborn babies.
In our range we also have the Click Carrier Classic, Click Carrier Deluxe and
the Meitai. These baby carriers can be made smaller so that they are also
suitable for newborn children.
But… this
is not always the most ideal solution.
Compare it
with pants, these may fit perfectly with size 80, but are of course too big
with size 56. In the beginning you will have to tighten these pants with a belt
and roll them up a lot. It's possible…. but is it really nice? If you really
want to use these pants, you make concessions and accept this.
The most
ideal is a suitable baby carrier for every size your child is in, but that is
obviously not feasible. For this reason, we have made our baby carriers in such
a way that they can be reduced in size for a newborn. This is fine, but the
first period is not always perfect. If you don't want to make any concessions,
choose a different baby carrier during the first weeks. This can be, for
example, a sling or a MyKay. These baby carriers fit perfectly for newborns.
In
conclusion: Our baby carrier can be made to fit a newborn, but it is not always
the best solution.

seek advice from a professional or babywearing consultant when carrying a
premature baby.
- Make sure that your child's head is always above the baby carrier.
- Never cover your child's entire head to prevent rebreathing.
- Read the instructions for use or watch a video to properly adjust your baby
carrier.
