Information

The Woven Wrap is nice and sturdy, providing ample support for your baby, toddler, and preschooler. Because you can even use this woven baby carrier for premature babies, it is an investment for the long term. In the beginning, you wear your baby snugly on your chest and possibly on your hip, and when they can sit independently, even on your back!

In our comprehensive (video) instruction, you can see how to prepare a woven baby carrier, and then let your baby sink into it wonderfully. Then you tie the flexible fabric around your baby like a cocoon until they lie snugly against you, calming down with your familiar scent and heartbeat around them.

A baby carrier always fits perfectly to the size of your child. Choose the baby carrier size (6 or 7) based on your own body type and clothing size. Check the size chart to see which size suits you best. Are you not the only one wearing it? Then see which size fits the tallest person. A carrier that is too long is not a problem, you just have a bit more fabric 'leftover' (which can either fall into a longer tail or give you more fabric around your waist). The baby carrier is standardly available in size 6 (4.70m) and 7 (5.20m), and we can also produce them in other sizes upon request in our sewing studio in Wijchen.

With this non-stretchy baby carrier, you have your hands free from day one until around four years old.

Super Tips!
  • Make sure the wrap doesn't twist on the back when putting it on; tightening is made difficult by twisted fabric.
  • Pull the fabric snugly at the neck; this horizontal band provides neck support. You can roll an extra burp cloth here for additional support for smaller babies.
  • Ensure that the shoulder straps run flat along the sides of your baby, crossing under the bottom and coming out between the legs. The ends can be tied at your back, hip, or belly.
  • Ensure that the back has a natural curve (hips tilted towards you, as if your baby is sitting on their bottom).
  • Push your baby's bottom over the bands that run under their bottom and make sure the fabric sits well in the knee pits to accentuate the ergonomic M-position.

Our ergonomic baby carriers are the result of nearly 25 years of knowledge and experience, meeting the strictest safety standards and certified to EN13209, ASTM, and Oekotex. The ergonomic M-position supports back and hip development, and is also endorsed by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. Additionally, carrying promotes the bond between parent and baby through the production of oxytocin and the feeling of safety and security. Research shows that carried babies cry less!
