The Stretchy Wrap Classic is ideal when you want to carry your baby as snugly as possible. It is also a good choice if you plan to only carry for the first year or if you later want to switch to a baby carrier.
You can tie the ends of the wrap on your back, hip, or belly. First, you wrap the stretchy wrap around you, and then you put your baby in, safe and snug. A wrap always fits perfectly to your baby's size. There is no limit to how long you can carry in a wrap, as carrying promotes physical and mental development. You can carry as much as you and your baby enjoy, and that's great because there will probably be many naps taken in this comfortable baby carrier! With this stretchy wrap, you have your hands free from day one until about a year.
- After tying, spread the shoulder strap of the baby wrap over your baby's back, spreading the fabric from knee pit to knee pit and over the shoulders, to create an ergonomic M-position.
- Pull the belly band, or the horizontal belly section (with the label), up to the neck, so that the diagonal fabric sections stay in place, providing adequate neck support.
- Ensure that your baby's back has a natural curve (with the hips tilted towards you, as if your baby is sitting on their bottom).
- Spread the baby wrap wide over your shoulders for even better weight distribution.
- Do not pull the shoulder strap over your baby’s head; always ensure there is enough fresh air.
