The Mei Tai combines the best of everything in one baby carrier: the ease of use and speed of a baby carrier, with the comfort and security of a baby sling. The Mei Tai can be adjusted in height by rolling the waistband. This ensures that the top of the baby carrier aligns exactly with your baby's neck, allowing for ergonomic wearing. With larger children, it is not a problem if their shoulders and/or arms stick out above the baby carrier, giving them more freedom of movement. The width of the baby carrier can be adjusted by making it narrower between the legs with the flap at the knee hollows. You do this by securing the narrowest setting with the button, so that the baby carrier supports your baby from knee hollow to knee hollow and the lower legs dangle relaxed downwards. The shoulder straps can be spread out wide for more comfort, but can also be transformed into soft baby carrier straps by using the included shoulder pads. The sleep hood provides protection against weather conditions or other stimuli, but can also be rolled up to create a neck roll. You can also carry your child on your back from the moment they can sit independently, which is usually between 6 and 8 months. Based on the width and height of the Mei Tai Deluxe, this baby carrier can be used up to a size 98 in children's clothing.

half buckle: the waistband is closed with a clip.

Super Tips!

Place the belly band at waist height (not too low) so you can give your child a kiss on the head.
Roll the belly band away from you 1 or 2 times if necessary, then click or tie the belly band closed. This ensures that your baby’s head comes out well above the carrier.
Narrow the back panel at the level of the buttocks by folding the flaps. Make sure the fabric does not go beyond both knee pits, allowing the lower legs to dangle down relaxed.
Ensure the back has a natural curve (hips tilted towards you, as if your baby is sitting on their bottom).
Roll up the sleep hood for extra neck support, optionally including a burp cloth inside to make the roll a bit thicker. The roll is folded inward and placed between the top of the mei tai and the neck.
Spread the shoulder straps wide over your shoulders for even better weight distribution, or slide the shoulder pads over the shoulder straps for soft, compact carrying straps.
For a newborn, tie the shoulder straps slightly differently: first pull them under your arms, cross them on your back, and then bring them over your shoulders to the front. This way, your baby’s face is completely free, providing better neck support for these little ones.
Do not completely cover the head with the sleep hood when carrying it up; always ensure sufficient fresh air by leaving one side open.

Size charts

This can be used from trouser size 50 (but fits perfectly from size 62) up to trouser size 86.

The height of the back panel is a maximum of 40 cm. This can be reduced by rolling the waistband. (1 roll: height 32 cm, 2 rolls: height 28 cm.)
The width of the carrier, for an ergonomic M-position with support from knee pit to knee pit, is a maximum of 42 cm. (can be narrowed with flaps and buttons to 26 cm.)
